Hey EESTEC! I am Tagi Khaniyev. I was born in Azerbaijan in 1988. Having finished my first class of primary school in Azerbaijan, I moved to Turkey, with the rest of my family. I currently study in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University located in Ankara. My study in university started with the involvement in different student societies. One day, I was told that there was a congress of electrical students being held in Sofia and we need to send representative there. Luckily, I was the one elected to represent my faculty there. When I got in the welcome party, the first thing I thought was that “I am gonna stay here very long”. And it happened so. Setting up a new LC, being involved in international level of EESTEC, I realized that I got addicted to EESTEC, after a while. I arrived to Ljubljana for the congress. There were a lot of thoughts in my mind; however none of them was being the chairman of EESTEC International. As all nice surprises in my life, this was also adopted in my life very easily. The decision of being the chairman means to me to admit the fact that “letting EESTEC cover most of my life is not enough, I need to let EESTEC cover all my dreams, too”. And, I did admit this. Throughout the year, I will be trying to coordinate a great team which desires to bring EESTEC one step forward. I am convinced with the fact that all EESTECers, this year will devote themselves for the improvement of EESTEC. EESTEC will definitely change this year. However, the duty of us is to turn the change into the growth because “Change is inevitable, growth is optional”. Keep your EESTEC spirit alive forever! |
